you can also use ilunga as well.

Another Twist: ohmy.gif

Wathi lungu, wase eyahamba = He/She came briefly and then left.

lungu is derived from lunguza (v.) which means look or bheka

Fellows agree or disagree, I'm here to understand your views especially yours Mbokazi. biggrin.gif

Each of you is right. smile.gif

ilungu -> as David said.
lungu (ideophone) = of peeping
ukulunguza = to peep (= to look at something quickly and secretly)

And yes, the decomposer wrongly suggests that "lunguza" means "it is an armpit hair". It's wu- instead of ngu- with class 11 nouns. I'll have to fix that. Hope David will let me off for messing this up. biggrin.gif

hehe that's kind of funny

I love your Decomposer Carsten, we will debug it one day. Show me something better on this planet!

But this is news to me

So can I now understand, for predicate or whatever it is called:

- begins with i = needs y-
- class 11 = needs wu-
- else = needs ng-

carsten- 05-06-2008
Yeb. So it's "wulwandle" instead of "ngulwandle". I've fixed the decomposer. AFAIK you can use "wu-" instead of "ng-" with all nouns beginning with a "u", but you must not use ng- with class 11.
